Twins on the way!

When Tiffany called to schedule her sessions and told me she was expecting twins, I got that little excitement that photographing multiples brings to me!  There is something really amazing about the fact that there is more than one munchkin growing in a momma's belly!  I sometimes look at my own twins and can't believe they were both in my belly at the same time!  

There's a little boy and a little girl on the way for Jason and Tiffany and I can only imagine that they are going to inherit some fantastic genetics and fun personalities!  Jason had both his wife and I entertained with all the best quotes from Tommy Boy... I'm surprised those sets of shots weren't completely blurred from my giggling as i snapped away :)

One gorgeous mama-to-be!!  Seriously!

TWINS!!

Among the many reasons i love maternity sessions... there is such a wonderful love and tenderness between two people in the anticipation of new life!

Zachary turns ONE!

Zachary has the coolest parents!  Seriously, i hope my kids think i'm as cool as Zachary is going to think his mom and dad are! :)  They make parenthood look so easy and just roll with it, which made photographing them a breeeeeeze.  Now, I typical do things that are rather embarrassing to get children to laugh, but I gotta say, Zach's dad had all kinds of funny stuff up his sleeve to get his little guy laughing!  

I have to start with this first image though because i love COLOR and there's lots of it in this particular image :)  And Zachary is sporting the cutest outfit (make a note of his outfit if you are trying to figure out what to put your little guy in for photos!)  It was so funny when we put him up on this old tracker truck... he automatically pulled out the sound effects!  I think boys are born with that built in :)

These little shoes were the best!  And mom didn't even mind that they were getting muddy... that's what little boys do, right!

I think Dad was doing something really funny here!

I think he would have been perfectly happy if Dad hung him upside- down like this the whole shoot!

Funny how a STICK becomes the best toy EVER!

I think Zachary needs to be the poster boy for some kind of farming product in this image... he' just so darn cute in those overalls (gush, melt, sigh....)

Ryan and Tina, it was sooo good to get to photograph your beautiful family yet again!  And happy birthday little man!

little miss personality...

My girl is going to be three this summer and even though there are days where we are still working through those typical "two year old" issues, she is such a delight!  She went to the grocery store with me the other night after i took these shots of her and you would think she was 2 going on 20!  She wanted to push the cart all by herself, so i just pulled it from the front and let her think she was doing just that.  Everyone passing by gets a little "hello" and whenever something needs to go in the cart, i can hear the pitter of her little flip flops running towards me and my girl shouting "SHAY DO IT"  Yes, she still talks in third person... it's kinda cute.  Shay is helping me with a new product that you all will be hearing about soon, but i thought i would leave you with these shots of her until the new site is launched.  YES!  a new website with all kinds of new photos and ideas!  Until then...

She's saying "Look Mommy! The moon!"

She was strutting her stuff ahead of me down the sidewalk when i called out to her to turn around... that's my SASSY girl :)

Major giggles happening here!  I ran ahead of her and she was laughing so hard trying to catch up!  I'm thankful she didn't do a face plant running in those heels she loves wearing!  

I bribed her with a cookie to get this shot :)  Hey, i always tell parents that it's ok to bend the rules a little to get those great expressions, especially when paying for custom portraiture!  She reminded me all the way to the grocery store and right up until i placed the cookie in her hand that i owed her that cookie!

My Nieces...

I've said it before and i'll say it again, i was so incredibly blessed when i married Matt!  Not just to have an amazing man as my husband, but i also got his family, whom i love dearly!

That's right, THREE beautiful girls!  I think Daddy is in trouble in trouble in another 12 years or so when there are 3 teenage girls in the house :)

I am going to post a few extra of this spunky niece of mine since these solo shots of her were for her 4th birthday!

These next few make me smile because they are so her! 

This is my gorgeous sister in law.  And my brother in law whom we think is secretly in the mafia... :)

Allie

Getting to meet and photograph this sweet baby girl was such a joy for me!  I have known her momma as far back as elementary school since we grew up at the same church.  Being a photographer has reunited me with old friends and brought many new ones as well... i could have never imagined what a blessing this all would be :)  Heather had so many great ideas for the photos and is definitely having fun being a mom of a little GIRL!   From fairy wings to pearls to sunflowers and just plain snuggles and smooches from mom and dad, I think Allie did awesome showing off all her adorable faces :)

The Garage by Ivy

Just a quick post to introduce you to my friend and exceptional event florist, Ivy Weesner... 

We did this shot for a banner that she is doing with the theme "Ball Players are Brides Too"  I love it!  The talented Aleta Lynch will be doing all the graphics for the banner, so i am excited to see the final product!  (Aleta was the creative mind and designer of my logo).  I feel so blessed to be able to work with such fantastic, creative women!

Baby Rose & Big Brother Noah

The B family had a baby GIRL!  And she is just as beautiful of a newborn that her big brother was!  Meet baby Rose... what a great name right!  It seems to fit her perfectly.

L Family

I am really enjoying sessions, like this beautiful family, where i am invited out to my clients home for their session.  There's a personal touch that's incorporated since the backgrounds of the photos are the sceneries that you and your family see everyday.  I first met the L family when their firstborn was still in the belly... they came to my studio for maternity photos and soon after had baby Lexi.  They since have added baby boy, Jake!  Thanks for having me out to photograph your sweet family...

Lexi wasn't too happy to be outside (it was a little chilly), but i kinda like the serious face for the mood of this shot :)

Jake smiled the whole time... made my job sooo easy :)

Wedding with Renee Bergmen

I had the wonderful opportunity to second shoot a wedding with my dear friend and amazing photographer Renee Bergmen!  Now i truly believe i have one of the best jobs out there when i get to work and hang out with a great friend at the same time :)  One thing i loved about shooting with Renee was how relaxed and easy going she was about the whole process!  Aaaand... how she always gets her bride and groom doing something a little crazy for the sake of great photography :)  Had to post this one Renee... she had the wedding party pile into a golf cart and drive straight at her going down a hill!  And mind you my sweet friend is 7.5 months pregnant!  

Now, since i didn't have the responsibility of getting all those "main" shots, i decided to give some extra love and attention to the details, my favorite being these lovely bouquets :)  They actually sprayed them with hair spray, which is why they look so shiney and perfect- who knew!

And these two are too stinkin cute if i might say so! 

aaahhh, the dress.  This dress seemed to fit the bride's personality perfectly.  So gorgeous!

The rings... one fun thing about weddings is always finding new and fun ways to photograph the rings.  I really like this vase and the color on the wall behind it!  Aaaand... now see why a macro lens would be a very handy addition in my camera bag :)

The cake... simple and classic!

The alter... it was overcast, so we didn't have to worry about harsh shadows during the ceremony!

Th vows... Renee, myself and Christine (also second shooting- hey, you need all the help you can get when your center of gravity is thrown off by a growing belly :) were shooting at three different angles during the ceremony... i think it's going to make a great mix of shots to fully tell the story!
